Today as I schlumped around Toys R Us. - I noticed all the moms around me looked so put together. Especially this one woman with flat suede boots that went up right below her thin knee. Her hair and makeup were perfect and she was carrying a rather large and flashy LV tote, which is not my style but suddenly I really wanted that LV tote too. I understand being a little disheveled two months after baby, but Max is 10 months old and frankly in Los Angeles - the schlumpyfrumpy look is just not acceptable - unless of course you are wearing $200 sweatpants with uggs that accentuate your firm post pregnancy derrier...which is not in my case at all.
I caught a reflection of myself and shuddered, there I was in all my glory, in dark blue, slightly saggy j crew jeans paired with faded white pumas that had turned grey and a navy blue cable knit sweater. My hair screamed "cut me", and my bangs hung limply. And at my side, dangled le piece de resistance, a black canvas bag. Resolution 2010: Get my appearance back together.
It might be good that you're getting out of la. I don't like all this restilin/LV bag envy you're displaying. You're beautiful just the way you are, and also such a fashion plate! xx mc
